New CenterPoint Spectrum, First Focal Plane Scope Series

Building on its history of offering quality optics at accessible prices, Crosman is introducing the CenterPoint Spectrum first focal plane series of riflescopes.

Until now, says Crosman, riflescopes with reticles in the first focal plane have been priced out-of-range for value-conscious hunters and shooters. The CenterPoint Spectrum first focal plane series is intended to address that. Three riflescopes make up the new CenterPoint Spectrum series. They will be on display at the 2017 SHOT Show in the Crosman booth.

“We’re so confident shooters will be amazed by the unbeatable performance and value of the Spectrum series that we stand behind it with our new Bullseye Guarantee,” says Senior Product Manager Sara Calcagno. “The Bullseye Guarantee allows shooters to return the scope at any time, for any reason, no questions asked.”

First focal plane riflescopes like the CenterPoint Spectrum series place the reticle in the first focal plane of the scope rather than the second. This helps increase accuracy as the scale of the reticle proportionally changes as you reduce or enlarge magnification.

It also means there’s no shift in point of impact while changing magnification with first focal plane scopes. The CenterPoint Spectrum series is available in 3-9x40mm and 4-12x44mm for longer ranges and 1-4×24 for shorter range use.

Crosman says that the Spectrum series features best-in-class optical clarity and materials which deliver results in any weather. Each scope has a full one-piece tube body and is built from aircraft grade aluminum. The etched glass reticle is protected by two layers of glass for protection in the field and offer a crisp and precise field-of-view.

The CenterPoint Spectrum Spectrum series of scopes also helps hunters in the field by featuring an anti-reflective coating on all lenses, says the company. This reduces glare and provides a crystal clear image from edge to edge, Crosman states.

Yes, I saw this earlier Tom and wonder how decent the glass will be for the cost. Right now the cheapest FFP scope is around $300 with Falcon & BSA having their own(which they are quite the same).

With etched glass that will increase the cost of the scope. We shall see soon.
