Default >30 Cal Brod report

Finally got an invite from a friend out to their 10 acre spread. Took advantage of that by trying to get a handle on this Brod. Sorry, no pic right now. Will snap one later.

Here's a few numbers from the first shot strings with the Brod since getting the barrel shortened again. Was looking for accuracy, since that was a main issue before. Once I could get a "decent" string, it was not to hard to have 5 shots touching at 50 yards. Anyways here are 5 of the strings. A few had me scratching my head. Obviously I stopped at 5, fairly happy with accuracy and count.

Dave

That first string looks a wee bit bumpy. The rest with more hammer energy, less so. recall that that bloody valve is YOOOOOOGE, and could benefit from a significantly longer hammer throw. Getting that valve of its seat is a non-trivial affair. I wonder...

Also, I notice they're numbered...the later shots are more consistent, possibly due to the hammer's flight path getting all swept up by the previous strings. How did it like 50gr vs the 44's?
cheers,
Douglas

Iffen ya mean accuracy wise, they both were about the same. Of course the 44gr did not like going much over 900, and accuracy started to go. Thanks

Any suggestion on how to tighten up the spread. Its not bad for what the gun is, was just hoping for a bit closer.
